Mr. Basharat Ali's life story is impressive and exemplary: He was one of the first regular Master Degree candidates from the community of Machulo. With the help of a grant from the Felix Foundation, he obtained a Master of Economics from the Karakorum International University, Gilgit. He then returned to serve the community as a volunteer teacher in the Munawar School. At the end of his volunteer tenure he was appointed as Principal of the institution, an example of the Foundation continually seeking passionate agents of change to help educate and develop the community.

Later, Basharat was appointed the Foundation's Program Manager for Education. The Foundation trained him in developing projects and proposals, teaching him monitoring, reporting, presentation and information technology skills from Gilgit, Skardu and in Spain. He worked for the FFB for almost seven years, using the FFB to channel his excellent professional talents. Eventually, an internationally recognised organisation offered him the position of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in Skardu with an attractive salary.

The FFB remains extremely grateful to Basharat for his work and wishes him every success in the future.
