Ms. Samia of Saling belongs to one of the poorest families in the community. Her parents were unable to afford her education. Despite her dream of earning a higher degree, she decided to give up her studies and the chance of a job and financial stability. Instead she would accept the hard and difficult life of many poor girls in the area.

Fortunately, the Felix Foundation heard about her disappointment and a representative visited her home. After talking with Samia and her mother, the Foundation offered to fund her higher studies in Khaplu. She has proved to be an excellent student and is scoring high grades. Today she has reached 12th grade and is looking forward to moving on to study at university.

Samia says: "The road to success started in the Hushe Valley, long live FFB!"
