Mr. Essa Khan, a student from Machulo, was facing a serious predicament, torn between his studies and helping his sister and mother following the death of his father and two younger brothers. The family's income was virtually non-existant. The Foundation offered him a chance to both earn and study through a plantation grant. Internationally recognised professional agriculturalists from the Baltistan Fundazioa guided, observed and monitored the plantation, giving Essa the time he needed to look after the plants. Today he earns a good income from selling apples to the local markets, enabling him to pay for his studies, look after his family and even save for the future.
Essa says: "These agricultural techniques are a great improvement - thanks FFB and BF!"
